There’s a new push to pass a statewide minimum wage of $20 dollars for all workers in California, including those behind bars.
The campaign comes just a month after California enacted a $20 dollar wage for workers at fast food restaurants.
The push for higher wages for fast food workers was seen as a milestone success, giving them something closer to a living wage, and now the people behind that would like to expand the $20 dollar an hour pay for workers in other sectors. There may be some unintended consequences of that higher wage though.
