Every time a planet stations retrograde, the same question lands in my inbox. Should I stop? Stop launching, stop deciding, stop dating, stop asking, stop wanting. The answer is no, and that advice has done more damage to more people than almost anything else in modern astrology, because it teaches you that the sky is something to hide from.

There is a real answer underneath the question, and it is more useful than yes or no. Manifestation has two motions. Calling in, which is the part everyone teaches, and clearing out, which is the part almost nobody does. A retrograde does not stop the work. It tells you which half of the work you are in. Say you have been calling in more money. The forward version is the new offer and the new pitch and the new client. The backward version is the invoice you never sent, the rate you never raised, and the person who owes you something you have never once asked for. Same desire, completely different action.

Then I hand you the brain science, because yours runs on the same rhythm. You do not learn while you are practicing, you learn in between, and an old memory only becomes editable in the moment you go back to it. That is exactly what a retrograde is for. Venus has been retrograde since October 3, Mercury stations retrograde on October 24, and both of them station direct on November 13. Here is what to keep doing, what to hold, and the one list to write this weekend.

Topics Covered:
Why “stop everything during a retrograde” is the worst advice in modern astrology
The two motions of manifestation: calling in, and clearing out
Why whatever you have not cleared will filter out whatever you are calling in
The money example: the new pitch versus the invoice you never sent
What a retrograde actually is, and why the backward motion is apparent, not real
The freeway analogy that takes the fear out of it
Every retrograde runs on the same prefix: review, revise, reconsider, return, reclaim, repair, remember
Why most of what you want is waiting on an old idea you never finished
Consolidation: you do not learn while you are practicing, you learn in between
Why forward motion without review is accumulation, not progress
Reconsolidation: an old memory is only editable while you are revisiting it
Prediction error, and why a different response to a familiar return is what rewrites the pattern
When an old client, an old want, or an old person circles back, what that moment actually is
Venus retrograde from October 3 to November 13, from Scorpio back into Libra
Mercury stationing retrograde on October 24 in Scorpio, direct on November 13
Why November 13 is the anchor date of the next four weeks
The Sun entering Scorpio on October 23 and the Full Moon in Taurus on October 25
What to keep doing: your daily practice, the intention, the sixty seconds
What to do now: anything with “re” in front of it, and why retrogrades reward finishers
The one question to ask when something returns: is it unfinished, or is it unhealed
What deserves a second read before you say yes
The difference between reviewing and hesitating, and how to tell which one you are doing
The practice: write every unfinished thing you are carrying, then circle three

I'm Jill Wintersteen, and twice weekly, I'm bringing you powerful conversations that align with current cosmic weather alongside intimate chart readings that reveal how the stars shape extraordinary lives.

Every month brings a perfect mix. Through intimate chart reading with fascinating guests, you'll discover how these successful people work with their cosmic energy to create extraordinary lives. As I read their charts, you'll recognize pieces of yourself in their stories. Their Venus placement might mirror yours. Their rising sign challenges might sound exactly like your morning routine. Every celebrity chart becomes a mirror for understanding your own.

I’ll also feature interviews with experts based on the current astrological season. During Virgo Season, we’ll explore finding your worth through healing and rituals. When Capricorn Season arrives, we’ll discuss building empires while maintaining life balance. These expert episodes are timed to each Sun Season's themes, giving you real tools to work with the current cosmic energy.

Each week brings you two powerful episodes. Our full-length shows feature either revealing chart readings or expert conversations perfectly timed to the season's opportunities. Every conversation will show you how to work with current cosmic weather to create real results in your life.
