Seventy-years-ago, Tom Lambert, who lives in New Cumberland, witnessed two atomic tests when he was in the military.

Now, he may be one of the last living witnesses to a mostly forgotten historic event that had immense foreign policy implications.

Lambert -- who lived most of his life in Aliquippa -- shares his memories of experiencing the only time a nuclear projectile was fired from a cannon -- during what is known as Shot Grable.
