Here is what is making news for September 10.===================================Bendigo Bank has released its annual agricultural exports report, and it has been the second-highest year on record, as total agricultural exports rose by $5 billion dollars…. driven mainly by a booming red meat market.

Thanks to Victoria's strong meat production - especially in the states South West - it has retained its position as the largest export state in the country.

======================================================================Families across Colac Otway and Corangamite will soon have another chance to save on kids’ sport, with the State Government’s Get Active Kids Voucher Program returning in October.

Eligible families can apply for vouchers worth up to $200 per child to help cover registration and membership fees at local clubs. ======================================================================Later this month, Timboon will host a 'Sponsoring Overseas employees event.

The event which will run on September 24 will speak about the importance of overseas employees for local dairy farms, and how to manage and better recruit staff.

WestVic Dairy Extension Advisor Matt Wood says attendees will hear real-life examples of how overseas staff are strengthening South West farming operations.

In football, Camperdown’s Paddy Hassett claimed the under-16 boys count, while Cobden’s Mahli Baxter took out the 13-and-under netball reserves award.

Running Saturday and Sunday at the Colac Pony Club, Colac Pony Club's Eleanor Prime says the event will see riders of all ages put their skills to the test in events inspired by the work of Australian stockmen.======================================================================One of Australia’s most loved ultra marathons returns to the Surf Coast this Saturday.

The Surf Coast Century will see around fifteen hundred runners tackle either 100 or 50 kilometres, solo or in relay teams.

Known as the “feel-good ultra,” the event showcases dramatic cliffs, wildflower-lined trails and sweeping beaches.===================================
