A 38-year-old Camperdown man is expected to face charges after police uncovered a trailer full of suspected stolen goods.

Detectives say the man was arrested Monday night following several burglaries across Penshurst, Tarrington, and Buckley Swamp.

Warrnambool and Camperdown police believe the alleged offender targeted isolated buildings and rural sheds.

Works have begun to upgrade facilities at the Lake Colac Caravan Park. Colac Otway Shire Council and developer Belgravia are each contributing $500,000 towards the improvements.

Students at Lorne P-12 College have created a new sensory garden to showcase indigenous plants and their cultural significance.

Year seven and eight environmental science and horticulture students led the project, planting 100 native species near the school’s front entrance on Gadubanud Country.

The garden, part of a future nature-based play space, was officially opened on 21 October with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.

He also set personal records in the long jump, and hurdles, placing fourth in the hurdles and seventh in the long jump.
