This episode is a wild ride, folks. Imagine a train that's supposed to connect the Front Range, but the district that would fund it is a mess. The speaker takes us on a journey through the politics of the Cuckoo for Cocoa train district, where the boundaries were redrawn to exclude certain areas, and the ballot question itself is causing confusion. It's a story of gerrymandering, taxation without representation, and the consequences of bureaucratic bungling.

The speaker shares their personal experience of receiving a ballot with the question on it, despite not living in the district. They delve into the history of the district's creation and the changes made to its boundaries, which seem to favor certain areas over others. The speaker also touches on the issue of private jets and the Aspen airport, where a $518 million renovation is underway, funded by federal grants and local revenue.

The conversation is peppered with humor and anecdotes, including a story about a Gulfstream jet landing in Rifle, Colorado, and the speaker's own experience of driving through the state's high country. The speaker also shares their thoughts on the impact of the airport's closure on the local community and the people who work there.

If you're curious about the intricacies of Colorado politics, the consequences of gerrymandering, and the quirks of the state's transportation system, this episode is a must-listen. Join the speaker as they explore these topics and more in a conversation that's equal parts informative and entertaining.
