A report out by the BC Women's Health Foundation suggests women patients are treated differently than men in the healthcare system.
It suggests some reasons for the gap are due to lack of women in clinical trials, and the lack of investment specific to their unique healthcare needs.
It also finds 1 in 11 women believe they were dismissed by their doctor, simply because they were women - and that younger women felt that even more.
