Bill O’Reilly, author of the upcoming book, Confronting Evil Assessing the Worst of the Worst, discusses what we are seeing here at home with the worst of the worst. From China, to Iran, to Ukraine, to Boulder and to DC - there is no shortage of terrorists both international and national.
All right, Leonard Skinner, simple man. That can only mean one thing on this radio program, and that's all things, simple man. That means all things Bill O'Reilly, all things Bill O'Reilly at bill O'Reilly dot com. It is my great privilege and pleasure and relief to report to you that mister O'Reilly has gone to Japan and China and made it home safely. And it just so happens that the President will be speaking with President she tomorrow, so it's very timely in terms of news. And a Chinese researcher has now been caught trying to smuggle a potential by a weapon into the United States. And anyway, mister O'Reilly, I had a swat team on standby, not going to say what part of the world they were in to go in for the rescue mission. Had you been taken captive? Glad you're back, How are you? How was your trip?
Yeah? They wanted to get rid of me.
They wanted you out.
Yeah, yeah, we had enough. Man three days, unbelievable police state though in China. Oh, I was in Spain when Franco was the dictator there. I was in Romania when I was controlled by the Soviet Union of in the Cuba, nothing comes close to China. They actually confiscated my pens.
What your pens?
It was a woman about twenty four years old in a little communist uniform. And that's always trouble. It doesn't matter it's a man or woman. He gives these power and they actuallyde Mike harry on thing that I had, and they go, give me your pens. I said, I'm a journalist. I needed to write stuff down. Now they kick him. And I told that to the Power bureau guys that I spoke with that evening. So they gave me two really nice tends to marry up for it, but just please stay here looking out over in China.
Unbelievable. All right, So you go there and you did forego any honorarium. Uh, they wanted you to go there to talk about President Trump so they can understand Trump.
Now.
The President is speaking or spoke with Putin earlier today and is speaking with President Shee tomorrow. There's a lot happening in the news. The President has accused China of violating the trade deal that they had just recently.
Made number one.
And you know, then we have this issue that I just mentioned we have a Chinese researcher called trying to smuggle in the potential bio weapon into the United States. You know, China has been ripping off America. How did it go, How is the reception you received? And to what extent were they spying on you?
Like?
Are we going to see pictures on the Internet of Bill Bill O'Reilly showering in his hotel room any day now?
I hope not, because I was shut down the worldwide social media. We didn't bring our cell phones. We use burners because they'll hack your cell phones. I went over there at the invitation of the wealthiest man in China who runs the Beijing Club for International Relations, and my goal, and I think I accomplished it with to set the stage for positive negotiations. I've been working for a year on a policy call Partnership for a Peace and Prosperity. And just briefly, if you follow me on Bill O'Reilly dot com, you know what that is. But for those who don't, it's an alliance between a capitalis USA, the communists China to police the world to stop Putin, to stop the mallas In. And the reason that the Chinese would do it is economic They got to feed a billion and a half people. They need the new US market. Now, if I had been invited by the Moscow Club, I don't think I could have gotten through to Putin or Putin's boys. I think Putin is psychotic, and I think that's a far more unstable situation than China. I had thirteen people in the room, twelve men, one woman, the most powerful people in the country. It was taped. It was off the record, but I assume that President she saw it. It was ninety minutes. They asked me questions about President Trump, and you know me, no spin, and I told them that was going to be it. I also told them that when I got back to America, i'd have to debrief the President, which I did on Sunday, and I'm very happy that he and she are going to be on the phone. I think they can work it out. Taiwan find away the biggest issue for the Chinese, not the tariffs. Taiwan and I listen respectfully, they listen respectfully. For me, it was a good dialogue, and I am cautiously optimistic. We have to tamp down the Cold War between China and the United States. If we do not then the world is going to be put into chaos, and dangerous chaos.
Well, I can tell you I think that there is.
Look, I think both have big weapons in this battle over trade. For example, the Chinese desperately need access to our markets, and temporarily, we've learned that Biden left us with a vulnerability that most Americans didn't know about, and that is rare earth minerals. And although I can tell you at the speed of light, America is looking to for alternatives and they won't have that advantage very long, but they still need access to our markets. Now, I would hope that tomorrow's phone call results in some type of deal where you know, we understand that there's mutually assured.
Destructed well harm.
I won't call it destruction, but the Chinese economy cannot drive without access to American markets. And listen, we do need certain rare earth minerals, and unfortunately we've allowed ourselves to be put in a position where we are dependent on them. Just like a lot of our pharmaceuticals are produced in China. That has to stop, and too many semiconductors have been you know, we rely on Taiwan for and you know, the President now is going to be in house. We're going to be producing our own pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and semiconductor chips. And we are now developing alternatives to rare earth minerals. The only reason we have them all here except the left wouldn't allow us to mind for them. Did any of that come up?
All of it? And as the Greenland's all about, By the way, so President Trump is forward looking. He understands everything you just said, and very well. He understands that China needs the US market to feed a billion and a half people, and China knows that too, which is the reason I'm cautiously optimistic. But there's very bad feeling and that's got to be tamped down. And it was off the record, but I can tell you certain things like I went in and I said, look, you're not dealing with a week president. And this was the headline. As soon as I went in there, four or five of these Paulla bureau guys said, we're happy that Trump's president. We didn't like Joe Biden. He was weak and unfocused. That's the word they used. Unfocused. Half of those book English, half of them didn't, and they had to headphones instant translate, and that was a little surprising for me. But they said, we think we can do business with And I said, if you want to do business as the president, there's two things that you cannot do. And this is I was speaking pretty bluntly. Do you know me? It's number one.
Well, you're very very known for being demure and quiet and very very respectful city aside.
I was very methodical in my presentation. I said, you can't publicly humiliate him. You can't do that, and if you do, you're got to get nowhere, okay. And the second is you got to give him something. And if I can be so bold to suggest, knock out the fentanyl production. And then one guy said, oh, we don't make that all. We just make the precursors. And I looked at him and I said, do you need fentanyl at all? Do you need the precursors here room? I said, you don't need that. Give that to President Trump. That's how you begin a negotiation. That's positive. And there wasn't a lot of pushback. Chinese never tell you what they're thinking, and they disagree with you or think you're alone. They frown deeply when they're understand or with you.
They by the way, it must have been a lot of frowning with you in the room.
But keep going.
As much as there is the American media, I'll tell you that they watch my show every night.
By the way, that's what shocked me in Riot.
I mean, I go up with the days is the president's with the Crown Prince, and the President starts talking about, oh, he's the top guy in media and America, and he makes this insane amount of money, which I don't make, and not as much as you, Crown friends, but he makes you know. And then I said, mister President, I don't think anybody up here knows who I am. The guy sitting next to the President goes Hannity. The guy next to him goes Sean Hannity, Fox News.
I was like, oh boy, yeah, that's social media is overwhelmed. But the kicker is that Chinese people never see it.
No, they don't see it. The people in Saudi Arabia do, actually, bill No, they do.
And today is the I think it's the thirty fifth anniversary at Timm Square. I stood in the middle of square one week ago, and we'd be foolish Americans, be foolish to underestimate the ferocity of the Chinese communist state. It's ferocious. But I think that Donald Trump is the best negotiator in the world. And I don't say that with any patronizing or anything like that.
I think that just a fact he is.
Yeah, I think he's an excellent deal maker. And if she will cooperate at least fifty percent, they'll get a deal. See, Putin's not going to cooperate until you break his arm. Okay, it's clear now that Donald Trump underestimated Putin. Putin is psychotic, in my opinion, one million Russian casualties, one million in Ukraine.
He's a murdering, thug dictator. And however, I think that the President, you know, did to his credit. He's not afraid to take on big issues. Bill and and peace in Europe is critical. Piece in the Middle East is critical. Looks like the Iranians now are rejecting the President's deal to their to their own detriment. You and I both know what the likely outcome is going to be, and it's unfortunate. It was it's all avoidable and and all of that.
But yeah, you're right.
I mean, we have we have some very very serious problems that he inherited, and he's going at all of them. And you got to give him credit for tackling the big issues and not hiding from them.
Yeah, well, he underestimated Putin's psychosis, so did I. I got Putin on my upcoming book at Front of Evil. He's on a book right next to Mao, by the way, And if you go to Bill O'Reilly dot com, you'll see me standing in front of a picture a Mao, a huge picture. You also see me at the Great Wall of China, which is, in my opinion, the most stunning attraction in the world. Four hundred thousand human beings were killed constructing that wall. It is just an amazing sight. But getting back to the politics of it, President Trump, it finds himself in a very dangerous world. We had four years of a president who couldn't even come out of this room. And this is the same thing that happened to Abraham Lincoln when the Civil War began. He had to clean up the mess. But I think Donald Trump is a pretty good vision. But again, Prutin is going to have to be different than the Chinese. I don't think I could have gotten anywhere with the Russian people. I think I'd set the table in Beijing last week, and I'm hoping that good things come out.
I'm just glad you got home alive. And I'm not kidding. I mean there was a certain amount of risk going there. There's no doubt about it. Let me ask you about this, because this was just breaking today. As long as we're talking about international issues and about these troubled spots in the world. New York Post reporting around Supreme Leader blasting the US as arrogant as he effectively rejects this revised nuclear deal that would have reportedly allowed them to have low level imported uranium. I am told my sources that the uranium that they've enriched up to this point is under the care of the IAEA, and I have zero confidence in them. And then you look at rasmusen eighty four percent of American side with Donald Trump's stopping Around's nuclear program. Now, Bill, my sources and they're impeccable, tell me that they are at over sixty percent enrichment less than a month. They'll be it weapons grade ninety percent enrichment if they want to be, and if they have the delivery systems. I believe we risk a modern day holocaust. What does the president do here, Well, he may.
Set a signal today saying that this deal has to be done, but a time, an exact time, but fairly quickly. Look, he can get that deal done. The mothers know that if they don't sign the deal, I would say within two weeks that Israel is going to take out all four ports and they'll starve the Persian people. That's what will happen. And China's not going to intervene. China didn't care about the Iranian thing, and and I said, you ought to care, but they really don't. They don't care about Putin either. China is very centric. We care about our people and our people alone. This is what we want. I said, you can get some of what you want. You're not going to get all. One more thing. I want to tell you. This was fairly stunning. So I'm sitting there with these guys and it was very respectful.
I built, just leave it there, let me pick it up on the other side. Let me hold you over for a few more minutes. I know you have to go in a few but this is too important to let you go. Where we are with Bill O'Reilly all things. O'reillybilloreilly dot Com Quick break more with Bill on the other side of this break as we continue.
Appreciate the airtime very much.
I just want this was an important trip. I'm actually very proud of you. Sounds like you did a really good job.
You're holding me over and because this is very important. So when I walked into this meeting at the Beijing Club, I thought it was going to be heavy tariffs, but that was not. As I said earlier, the focus. The focus was in two thousand and forty nine. It'll be one hundred years since mouthsay Tounguan post communism brutally on the Chinese people. They the government is adamant that by that date Taiwan will be under the Chinese communist flag. That gives the world some room. The most important question asked of me by a very high ranking Chinese government official was if we have to use military force on Taiwan, what do you think President Trump would do? Now that's a heavy question, and I said to him, I cannot speak for President Trump, and I have no idea, and for me to guess or speculate would be irresponsible not only to my country but to yours. But I can tell you one thing with certainty. And then the whole room Hannity leaned forward. I said, President Trump is not going to allow any country on this earth to make him or the United States look weak. The previous president did that. Donald Trump will never do that.
How did they react to that?
They wrote it down and that would be interesting.
And now I had similar experiences because we're dealing with really we're dealing with the world's hotspots.
Here.
He's trying to bring about peace in Europe, he's trying to bring peace in the Middle East. And when I went with the President on the trip and reported on the trip from riod in Saudi Arabia, and then we went to Cutter, Qatar. However you prefer to pronounce it, you can do it both ways. And I was there, and then we went to Abu Dhabi and the UAE. I can tell you what I learned. I learned that all these Gulf states would love to join the Abraham Accords. They're not going to say it out loud. They want peace in the region. Like China, Bill, they they're all about business. They want to be in business with the US. They want to expand their economies. They want to diversify their economies. What they are deathly afraid of, however, is the threat of Iran. And so there's a lot of similarities in what you're describing here, with the exception, you know, you think the same about he in China, but we both agree that that Putin and Russia, now you know, is a whole different equation. And by the way, you know, earlier today the President put out that he talked to Putin an hour and fifteen minutes and they discussed the attack on Russia's airplanes by Ukraine. He said it was a good conversation. It won't lead to an immediate piece, he said. He said, Putin did say that he will respond to the recent attack on the airfields. Then they also discussed Iran and the fact that time is running out on Iran's decision pertaining in nuclear weapons, which must be made quickly. I stated to Putin that Iran can have a nuclear weapon. On this, I believe we were in agreement. And he said that he will participate in discussions with Iran, that he could perhaps be helpful in getting this brought to a rapid conclusion. He said, in my opinion, Iran has been slow walking their decision on this very important matter, and we will need a definitive answer in a very short period of time. I mean, the world's hanging in a balance in many ways build between Europe, Ukraine, Russia, the Middle East, Iran, and China. I mean, you're looking at a lot of hotspots in the world.
Important story for Americans is the China USA relationship. Iran will fold. That will happen. Putin doesn't care about Iran. He doesn't want that to intrude on anything that he does, so he'll help. He'll whisper into the Mulls And I suggested the President she might want to do that too, and I think that'll be part of the conversation between Trump and she tomorrow. So Putin and She would both say to Mulla's he got to knock it off, you got to sign a treaty and let's go forward. And I think that will happen. But the United States and Europe are going to have to really put a hurt on Putin. I'll tell you or else.
They have eighty two senators that have now signed on to a massive sanctions bill. Does that bring enough pressure?
I'm not sure he's psychotic as I said at the beginning of this conversation, we're not dealing with a normal human being here, And because a normal human being would have taken the deal that Trump offered, which was a good for Putin in Russia.
And let me ask you.
Another let me ask you this question about China. The Governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs, veto to bill that would prevent China from buying land near military bases. You were just in China, Bill. I assume they monitor you, monitored you every second. I assume I was probably being monitored while I was in the Gulf States. I have very little doubt about it. I know I was in Vietnam. I know I was in Singapore. I know I wasn't Helsinki. I would imagine the same. And like you, I took a burner phone just for that trip.
Right.
And so the Chinese, Chinese nationals in this country have been buying up ranch land, farmland, and land near military installation, military installations, and the governor of Arizona veto to build preventing China from buying land near military basis.
How stupid is she?
Well, she's gonna lose rooms and will win. But I want the United States at this juncture history is to lay off the small ball stuff. I didn't think the expulsion of a Chinese students was a good move. Chinese take all this very personally, very personally, big picture, that's what we need. She needs to be empowered. Okay, to the extent that Trump is treating him as an equal, very psychologically important. Now. I don't know if it's going to work out, but this is by far and away the most important story for every American we have.
We're a top geopolitical foe, but Irana is a more imminent threat.
As in my humble.
Opinion, Yeah, well, Israel will take him out. Hannay, does this take well?
Israel is going to need the help of the US bills. They can't do it without us. They need our bunker busters, they need our planes, they need help, and we'll give them.
The help they want. Trump's not going to stand aside and let around at the nuke. You said it fifteen times, He's not so.
I said it five times in front of me when I was in the Middle East with them.
I heard them, and look if I were worried about it, I tell you, I think it's terrible. I think it's a terrible situation for all the world. But I'm not worried about Iran. That's going to work itself out. I am worried about China and Putin, and I'm praying that China does do this partnership for prosperity and peace. And if they do, it's a game changer for the entire world. And I told these people in Beijing, every single Chinese citizen will benefit if you can get a deal with America.
They have not shown any desire.
They'll never show that. That not the way they operate. But I think She and Trump can get it done one on one.
But he's such an authoritarian figure. I mean, when the Wall Street Journal was chronicling the unrest that was going on as these factories were shutting down because of the Trump tariffs, do you think President she gives a flying hoot about any one person in China. He will crush them, he will destroy them, and he won't blink an eye.
No, that's what his legacy, and that's exactly how I put it. If she can enter into this partnership and his people benefit and the world calms down, then he becomes a great leader. That's what he wants, just like Trump wants to be a great president.
And this is I hope you're right.
I think there is definitely a possibility of it. But I'm a trust but verify Reagan guy in that sense, he's not sure. Listen, he's not gone into Taiwan. I actually thought if he was going to do it, he would have done it during the Biden years.
At the Taiwanese will fight. China does not want that. China's economy is shaky. That'll put him right into a depression if they do it. This is a long term de and but I think they can get an arrangement with Taiwan. I'm hoping that that will happen. But at this point, you know, I did what I could do, and I want everybody to know I paid for that trip.
Nobody know you did.
You didn't get an honorarium, you paid for you You paid for your own airfare, hotel, everything.
I got teaching duck, which was good, but that's what I and I hauled my son along so he could get a view of the world that no twenty one year old in the world has.
I'm glad you did that. It sounds like a really productive trip. It's we've got to compare notes on the trips we took recently, because it really is an honor to do it. And you know, Linda would say, well, why are you doing your shows. I'm like, well, the whole reason is to share with our audience, and the fact that you can share your trip with our audience, I think is equally important.
Uh.
You know, as we get older, we start to begin to think about, you know, the world. We're going to leave our children and grandchildren, and there's a lot of hotspots in the world, and I worry about all of it. Bill, O'Reilly, We do appreciate the extra time. Thank you for being with us all things. O'Reilly at Billoreilly dot com. And we're glad you're home safe.
Thankshea, I appreciate it.
Eight hundred and nine point one. Shawn is on number. If you want to be a part of the program. Look Israel safety today depends on the brave men and women of the IDF. Every citizen, by the way, is required to serve. I actually think we should adopt this in this country. Would be so good for our young people. Many serve without family nearby, and their family suffer. Now I got a chance to be with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and all these great people and all their great donors, and it was very meaningful yesterday and a group of us met with them and you know, to understand what's happening and to hear what they're doing on the ground and the humanitarian assistance that they're offering in and house. Israel is in this fight for their very survival and this existential threat that is known as Iran that they have to deal with every single day, and you know, they're providing humanitarian assistance and food and water and medicine and shelter and clothing and also things like flak jackets and mobile bomb shelters. I mean, they are doing God's work every day at a time when they are most in need. And that's why the IFCJ exists. It's the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, people of all faiths getting together and helping Israel as they fight for their survival.
We hope you can help as well.
They're toll free numbers eight eight eight for eight eight IFCJ eight eight eight four eight eight IFCJ on the web, it's IFCJ dot org. That's IFCJ dot org and we hope you can donate generously today. These are great people doing great work.
The final hour of the Sean Hannity Show is up next. Hang on for Sean's conservative solutions or.
Our favorite Senator from Louisiana, John Kennedy. This is a great moment that took place thrilling this law professor Kate Shaw over previous comments about evil Supreme Court justices. Quote, I'm embarrassed you're teaching our kids out. Check mate moment. Listen.
On April twenty second, twenty twenty four, you said there are some members of the Supreme Court that are evil. Which justices were you talking about. I'll take it your word, Centator, I don't recall it using that word, but all right, here's what you said. You were talking about the majority opinion in maldro v. City of Saint Louis. She said, quote Justice Kagan, I mean, will she be able to control the opinion's future distortion by her evil colleagues? Probably not? End quote who are you talking about, sir?
I'm very skeptical.
There's a transcription. It was probably a transcription error. I do not think I said no, you said it want you own up to it, which you call some members of the Supreme Court evil? Which ones do you think of evil? I would have to refresh my recollection. I've been very critical ears of the supremest statement.
Wren't you I'm doing it doesn't sound like something that I.
Want to say, Parishtat that you're teaching our kids.
I don't refer to Supreme Court justices as evil in the in the classroom.
Of the podcast in April twenty second, twenty twenty four. Okay, well, big as Dallas, and you're an officer of the Court, and you're here advising us to be respectful of federal judges and you say they're evil members of the United States Supreme Court. Jag me with a spoon. You're part of what's problem, the problem in all of this.
You know it's about It's sort of like I had this liberal on the other night, Linda. You saw the show and it was it was pretty unbelievable. When I asked, well, when did you first notice Joe Biden's cognitive decline, he goes, well, I never saw it. I'm like, really, you never saw it. I think you're lying. I think you're full of crap. I don't believe you. And then finally, well I saw it during the debate. I don't believe that either. And and this is the problem. Very few people just straight up do and say what Senator Kennedy did here, and that is, you know, tell somebody you know, I'm really embarrassed you're teaching our kids, because you're not helping our children when you go out there and and and literally making comments about evil Supreme Court justices. Just like the doxing of ice agents, the doxing of Supreme Court justices, you will reap the we'll win Gorsic and Cavanaugh blah blah blah. That was Chucky Schumer on the steps of the Supreme Court. I gotta take a break. We'll come back, we'll continue. We'll get you more of your calls and much more on the other side of eight hundred and nine to four one, Shawn, As we continue,
