Reliable medical imaging and diagnostics are often taken for granted. Yet in many parts of the world, consistent access to radiology services remains out of reach.
Radiology Across Borders (RAB) is a global charity working to change this reality by strengthening radiology capability through education, training and in‑country support, helping to improve health outcomes in emerging nations.
RAB co‑founder A/Prof Suresh de Silva and Director Dr Salman Ansari share the organisation’s origin story, the scope of its work today, and the tangible impact it is making on the ground. They also discuss the importance of RAB’s partnership with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), which is helping to expand reach, strengthen programs, and build sustainable radiology capability where it is needed most.
