A world-first m-R-N-A vaccine has been developed to protect cattle from foot and mouth disease.
An outbreak on the disease would devastate cattle production and trade and wipe an estimated 80 billion dollars from the economy.
Rural Reporter Katie Fuller spoke with Meat and Livestock Australia's animal wellbeing program manager Michael Lawrence about the research program.
