Advocates are calling on consumers to drink more Australian made wine this year as growers in the country's south-east recover from devastating frosts.
The late frost in September wiped out vineyards and growers say it was the worst they had ever seen.
It's the latest blow to a struggling industry.
Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with Australian Wine and Grape Chief Executive Lee Mclean about the industry's sentiments heading into the New Year.
