Tasmania producers almost a third of Australia's total supply of potatoes - and Simplot is the state's biggest processor.

But the  American food giant has reached a deadlock on contracts with TasFarmers - and is now reportedly approaching individual farmers with two-page imcomplete contracts, given them a week to sign . 

Rural Reporter Gabrielle Hodson spoke with TasFarmers Chief Operating Officer Neil Grose, who says growers feel pressured.
