Northern Queensland Graziers are being urged to vaccinate cattle against a disease rarely seen the region.
Blackleg is a fatal disease caused by bacterial spores in the soil, and often affects younger cows.
A farmer in Torrens Creek lost almost 40 head of cattle to the disease.
