Nearly 33 million dollars is being invested in the future of the nation's Sugarcane industry. 

A new series of projects run by Sugar Research Australia and the Queensland state government aims to improve the efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability of the sector. 

Rural Reporter Alexander Nimmo spoke with S-R-A Chief Executive Mick Bartlett about the investment.

Sheep producer sentiment is rebounding off the back of stronger prices and better seasonal conditions. 

Meat and Livestock Australia's Sheep Producer Intentions Survey shows over the past quarter, sentiment has risen 84 points. 

Rural editor Emily Minney caught up with Senior Market Analyst Erin Lukey to hear more about the results.
