The two supermarket giants are temporarily raising some milk prices, to raise money for drought-hit farmers.

30 cents will be added to three-litre bottles bought at Coles and Woolworths from today.

While from next month a Drought Relief Milk range will be available at Woolworths.

It'll be be available from $1.10 per litre, with 10 cents per litre to be donated directly to dairy farmers.

But Coles has fallen short of releasing its own special drought range.

Earlier this month Queensland Dairy Farmers Organisation started a petition, calling on the supermarkets to increase the price of Dollar Per Litre Milk... it's since gathered more than 100,000 signatures.
