Locusts numbers are on the rise - and departments in Victoria and New South Wales have both warned landholders to be on the lookout in the Wimmera-Mallee as well as northern and western New South Wales. SA and southern Queensland are also at risk.
Farmers have grave concerns that some of the most effective chemicals have either been deregistered - or are under review - and they want urgent action to clarify what to use.
