The peak body for organic producers is raising concerns about proposed changes to the definition of genetic modification.
Food Standards for Australia and New Zealand is proposing food which has been 'gene edited' NOT be labelled as genetically modified.
Australian Organic says the move would strip consumers of the right to know what they are buying, and could also pose a trade barrier.
