Experts believe Australian beef producers could fill a Chinese import quota by the middle of the year.
More than 27 thousand tonnes were shipped to China, which has set an import quota of just 205 thousand tonnes of Australian beef, before a tariff is applied.
16 thousand tonnes were sent in January.
