Furit and vegetable prices tipped to climb

View descriptionShare

Fruit and vegetable prices are again beginning to rise, as adverse weather affects growing conditions along the east coast.

The latest inflationary figures show prices are up 18.6% year on year.

Two consecutive La Ninas, floods in Queensland and New South Wales, as well as abnormally cold conditions in Victoria have all affected crop production.

Rural reporter Meg Van Lohuizen caught up with Velisha Farms managing director Catherine Velisha to hear how farmers are adapting to conditions.
