Freight industry urging government intervention to curb rising fees on exporters

Exporters are calling for federal government action on the rising fees and surcharges being placed on their cargo. 

Shipping lines have introduced 'war surcharges' of up to $5,000 on refrigerated containers, charges on fuel use at terminals, and fresh 'emergency' pricing. 

Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with Freight and Trade Alliance General Manager Tom Jensen about the rising fees.
