The Victorian Government will ask the Commonwealth for nearly 200 million dollars for the Murray Basin Rail Project.

A 7 page summary of the 90 page report has been released...
To find out more, rural editor Eddie Summerfield caught up with Victorian Farmers Federation President David Jochinke:
Statement from Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCromack:
“The Victorian Government has today released a seven page executive summary of their 90 page revised business case, completed in April 2020.
It is important to remember that the Federal Liberal and Nationals Government has already committed more than $240 million to this Victorian owned and operated asset.
It is also important to remember that the Victorian Labor Government was responsible for delivering this project and actively chose to lay 100-year-old steel as part of its “upgrade”.
I look forward to hearing the views of industry and communities on the proposal and document released today by the Victorian Government.”
