Farmers in drought impacted parts of Australia are being forced to adapt to changing seasonal conditions.

ABARES has released figures revealing the lingering dry-spell in the eastern states will see farm production fall by 4 percent year on year.

The national commodities forecaster also uncovered the average income for broad acre farmers will fall by 18 percent to $173,000.
