The cattle industry has dumped its plans to reach net-zero emissions by the end of the decade. 

The target was adopted in 2019..but the Red Meat Advisory Group Council says it is not feasible.

A new study has examined the carbon footprint of the country's livestock export industry. 

The assessment tracked the emissions of cattle and sheep from pre-export quarantine yards through to their destination.
