Industry groups are calling for greater recognition of the importance of field days to the agriculture sector. 

The Association of Agricultural Field Days says the events play a vital role in the sectors productivity, sustainability and competitiveness. 

Data from the association shows the events generate about two-billion-dollars in trade annually.
