The latest productivity estimates from the Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences suggest the drop is due to hot and dry conditions affecting cropping regions in Western Australia.

Indonesia and the United States have inked a new trade deal for wheat. 

Under the agreement, Indonesia will take up to two million tonnes of American wheat. 

Australia typically ships four to five million tonnes of wheat to Indonesia.
