It's how Labor's proposed ban of live sheep exports to the Middle East have been received across the country.

The policy is in response to footage showing thousands of sheep in poor conditions, dying on voyage from Perth to the Middle East.

It's understood the Federal Government will introduce fines in the millions, and up to 10 years jail for directors who knew things weren't right and failed to act.
