Australia cottons on to natural fibre - bue there are fears about the season ahead

Aussie shoppers are cottoning-on to the benefits of wearing and using natural fibres - with disturbing research linking microplastic pollution to artificial fibres.

The cotton indusry is also expanding into new regions - mainly in northern Australia.

But there may be challenegs ahead, with just half the plantings this season - compared to two years ago.

Rural Reporter Gabrielle Hodson spoke with Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay.
