Robert Prater has called the Seminole and Orange County area home for 38 years. He was raised in this area, educated in these schools, and spent his career giving back to the very community that raised him. That deep-rooted commitment is why he's stepping up to serve District 37 in Tallahassee.
A husband, father, grandfather, and having raised a family on a teacher's salary, Robert knows that the decisions made in the State Capitol are felt at every kitchen table in Central Florida — from mortgage payments and property insurance to the quality of the neighborhood school and the safety of the streets his grandkids ride their bikes on.
He's not a career politician. He's a teacher, a coach, a neighbor, and a problem-solver — and he's ready to bring that experience to the Florida House.
