The Northern Territory's Acting Chief Minister Gerard Maley has defended his Government's work on child safety, after the death of Kumanjayi Little Baby made national headlines earlier this year.

 
Speaking to Mark Levy, the leader says the safety of children must be paramount.

 
Asked about the Territory using gas to create domestic energy, Mr Maley says Australia should be focusing on Australian energy sovereignty.
