Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians Julian Leeser has called for the Prime Minister to leave Canberra and visit regional communities where child protection services are struggling.

He says the focus should be on the safety of all children, without focusing on their race. 

On the expected RBA rate hike, Mr Leeser called Jim Chalmers the "Treasurer of Dog Ate My Homework". 

He also took aim at Australian universities, saying they've 'gone to the dogs', over the ongoing anti-Jewish sentiment on campuses.
