The Invasive Species Council and NSW Agriculture Minister Tara Moriarty share concerns that Red Imported Fire Ants found at a Sydney Logistics Centre may have been there for up to 12 months.

Conceding to Mark Levy that his concerns earlier this month were warranted, Minister Moriarty says she is doing everything she can to keep these pests out of New South Wales.

Jack Gough, CEO of the Invasive Species Council says he is wary of the delays in responding to the ants, but has faith in the Department of Primary Industries in managing the outbreak.
