Getting Involved with Kiwi Harvest

Closing Remarks and Contact Information

What happens to good food that shops and growers can’t sell? KiwiHarvest works to get it to people who can use it.

This morning, Jack talks with KiwiHarvest CEO Angela Calver about how the team rescues surplus food and shares it through community organisations. They discuss the work happening across Queenstown and the Central Lakes, why demand for food support can be easy to miss in our region, and what backing from the Hugo Charitable Trust means for the local operation.

They also cover the other side of food rescue: keeping perfectly good food out of landfill. Listen in to hear how local growers, businesses and volunteers can get involved.
