Ahead of the Greenstone Entertainment Summer Concert Series, we catch up with Kyle Simmons from Bastille about life in the band, playing live and what they’re looking forward to when they arrive in Wānaka in January.

Kyle takes us behind the scenes of Bastille, from creating new music and taking it onto the stage, to playing everything from intimate shows to enormous festival crowds.

We also talk about one of the band’s biggest songs, “Pompeii”, and what it feels like to still hear thousands of people singing it back more than a decade after its release.

Plus, Kyle shares a little about life on the road, the places the band loves visiting and what keeps performing exciting after years of touring the world.
