How often are women's health conditions misdiagnosed? Well, it turns out, quite often.
The medical system all over the world has been, and remains, led by men, for men, using men as the yardstick for conditions and the medicines to treat them.
That means women are at risk of adverse reactions to medications, different outcomes to surgery and treatment and misdiagnosis all due to gender bias.
In this episode of The Quicky we look at how we deal with a system that's supposed to help us and heal us, when it may not even really know what's going on with us in the first place.
