Serving Into Their 90's: Why Are U.S Politicians So Old?

View descriptionShare

Joe Biden is 80 years old and for the first time in history, the U.S has an octogenarian President.

You'd think that would make him the oldest among his Political colleagues in Washington right? But no.

In the past few weeks some of the elder statesmen and women of the capital have been showing their age and have left many wondering, how old is too old to run a country?

In this episode of The Quicky, we look at what is known as Gerontocracy, where the older generations control the politics and the power and whether there should be a maximum age limit in Government.
