Tonight, the Matilda's are hoping to take another step forward on their record breaking journey through this Women's World Cup. 

There is a squad of 23 women who suit up for the matches, but there is also a group of women who came close to being a part of it, only to be cut at the final stage and forced to watch on from the sidelines.
