On the third of May 2007 three year old Madeleine McCann vanished from an apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal. The McCanns were visiting from the United Kingdom, where they lived. She was sleeping in a room with her twin siblings while her parents were at a restaurant 130 feet away. The parents took turns checking on the children, but when Madeleines mum Kate checked later in the night, she found her daughter missing. 

More than 15 years has passed since Madeleine's disappearance, and uncertainty still swirls around her whereabouts. So, when an instagram account popped up by a Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine, it made headlines all over the world.
