Finance Minister Katie Gallagher said next week's budget will focus on inflation and household support. Meanwhile, Tanya Plebisek urged supermarkets to ease check out prices, while Barnaby Joyce blamed rising grocery costs on Labour's energy policies. The Trump administration has deported over two hundred Venezuelans to a prison in El Salvador to bite a federal judge's order to return them to the US. The White House claimed it wasn't defying the court, but insisted it had the right to proceed. Trump invoked the rarely used Alien Enemies Act to deport alleged members of a Venezuelan gang linked to violent crimes. Judge James Boseburg blocked the move, but footage showed deporte's arriving in El Salvador. The ACLU is demanding assurances that no migrants were removed in violation of the order. A fire at a nightclub in North Macedonia has killed at least fifty nine people and injured over one hundred and fifty five. The blaze broke out at Club Polse during a concert by local hip hop group DNK. Authorities believe pyrotechnics on stage ignited the fire and there was only one fire exit, trapping many attendees. A survivor described the chaos, including blocked bathroom windows with bars. The club was operating without a valid license and the number of people inside exceeded its capacity. Around twenty people, including club owners, band members and officials, have been arrested with suspicions of bribery and corruption. Investigations are ongoing. There were no reports of any Australians caught up in the Blaze. Elton John has lost vision in his right eye due to an infection, which has forced him to simplify his signature for special editions of his new album, Who Believes In Angels. He now signs his name simply as E and adds an ex to represent a kiss. The music legend revealed in December that he couldn't properly see his music All the Devil Wears Prata, but still enjoyed the performance. He explained that since losing his sight in his right eye, he's been unable to work on new music as he struggles to read lyrics, though he remains hopeful for recovery.
