Why Taxing The Rich Is NOT The Answer To Our Economic Problems

View descriptionShare

Many believe that we can make up for the financial deficits in our economy by applying higher taxes to the wealthy. But as Rob explains in this episode, that is not the answer to our financial woes, and in fact might even prove even more detrimental...

  • The people in control of the tax systems don't necessarily have your best interests at heart. The systems don't work for people like us.
  • Levies on goods and services and subsidies that contribute towards production - this has never changed across the centuries. Governments need money to add to the infrastructure.
  • Politicians are not there to look after their people. they are simply there to inefficiently distribute funds so as to secure more funds.

'You've got to think about the people making the taxes'

'This isn't a tax lesson - this isn't what this is about'

'You need money to win wars'
