What You Need to Know is about fake comedy. Politico had a piece last week on the shift in tone from late-night comics in terms of the Presidency. Late-night comedians would take joking shots at both sides of the political aisle for decades, but now, they will not make fun of Biden at all. The piece mainly blames Stephen Colbert for the shift, but at this point all of these comedians are grossly partisan. But we must recognize that, before the partisan shift, these comedians were always fakers, and just pawns in the narrative machine meant to feed us a certain reality. This is not comedy, it’s propaganda.
