Rocio Serna, the Coordinator for Methodist University's Military & Veteran Services. She splits her time at the Military & Veterans Center right here on the MU campus, and at Fort Bragg where MU has had an office for years. She's a second-generation American who joined the Army in 2004 and it didn’t take long before she was sent to Afghanistan as an aviation aircraft refueler under Operation Enduring Freedom in 2006. In 2014, she took a leap of faith and enrolled at Methodist University in 2014. While juggling bills and being a mother to three children, Serna managed to excel and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in Clinical Counseling in 2018.
