  • Kathleen – I was in San Francisco and on my way to mass. I immediately thought it was an accident. At work we were all watching. I always go to Mass on this day.  (06:45)

  • Patty - I am overwhelmed by how many firefighters died and also the volunteers that came who died. (21:53)
  • Muriel - I worked at the World Financial Center. The bus could not get through and stopped by Battery Park. Driver said there was a fire at the Trade Center. Police also stopped me and I thought he was being overzealous, so I went anyway. (25:32)
  • Kathleen - I was working at an Air National Guard base. We had police in Detroit there that day. We turned on TV, which is not something done at military base. Police raced back to check situation there. (28:44)
  • Samuel - I really appreciate the conversation about 9/11. I am only 29 was only 4-years-old and in preschool. I am part of the last generation of people who remember. (33:02)
  • John - I was across the river, and my parish lost a few members. Comment on dancing in the streets. I lost touch with a person because of this. (39:01)

  • Francis - I was a flight attendant for American Airlines and did flight 77's route. I saw how this ruined people's lives. People I knew were on Pentagon flight. I had friends who were working that day. Were scattered after this. (47:45)
