Happy New Year to you, Kelvin Washington, Yes, sir, Today's January second.

Yeah, that's right.

It is a TV theme song Thursday here on the Odd Couple, and we got a great program for you as always. Uh.

Jonas Gray, the former NFL.

Running back, Notre Dame Malum and the president of Athletes and Management. He will join us talk about his Alma Mada Little Shekel city going on.

Started off the year.

Three and I'm not doing this right now, you just we're not doing this right now.

It's always his first segment. What is it? I have no idea. I need water. Who was he talking to today? Was it I again? Was it Martin Byer too? Yes? Day to the bathroom. That's all listen.

I told the women's right now after you look cold, you only get X amount of minutes per day to talk and you're wasting them. So now when we get in here, you can't even start some wonderful program.

I don't even know. I didn't cough all day.

I told you because once you get here, you use your allitment. Geez, but you know, Alex well my favorite song is right, you know what that is?

Let me clear my rob G was he here for that? Robbie was never here? Rob Robgi? Were you here for?

You?

Weren't here for woo?

Were you put your headphones on? Oh man, Robgie? We had that might have been the funniest show that we had. We go thus far in this team iteration of the odd couple that's been around for forty two years or whatever it is that you I say every every every day, every show, it goes up a year two.

All right, we got weif'sdvice, Martin Weis's coming up in our number two and our number three tyshirts Tower of Trivia.

Here we go, ro take a listen. That is all right?

Rob GI's the context though, right, that's just sorry, Robgi. He was telling us about some bullet train he was on and I don't know, Tokyo or something like that, and he trying to explain how fast it was and it was the oldest slowest sounding ain't ever He was like, he was really fast. You ever been to a buncher? I'm my rod. That didn't sound fast at all rob In.

The callers for the next fifteen minutes just roasted him on his slow train, not a fast train.

Now it was a fast trade. All right.

We got let's welcome to the odd couple, cool and be able to do this fine radio program without him. Rob g is our producer, Alex is our engineer. Martin Weiss is at the anchor desk. He'll keep us updated throughout the program. That's right as the early one. Oh there's a lot, okay, Elijah with our social media guru.

Yes, Elijah, thank you so much.

So let's get started and uh lo and behold, I never thought i'd see this day.

I gotta be honest. Okay, all right, cuz you know.

Me and Trey Wingo had a little blue ha over Patrick Mahomes when.

You're getting your little brew has I just got to go ahead, yo. The best part about it is Roger. He'll look at me, He'll go, yo, yo, you got the next one?

You got to name?

Yo.

Crack real quick, real quick. Let me tell you something. I'm like, did you just give me to hear you go next? And then turn into the wait a minute finger?

All right?

Okay, but who was right me? Or Trey Wingo. Well, Trey was right, he wasn't right. Trey was right what he's saying right, but this helps you. But Trade was still right. He wasn't right. And do you remember what he said.

Here's the problem when you talk about Patrick Mahomes.

Okay, that people just don't want to acknowledge that he hasn't played that well at quarterback the last tears. Okay, you said it, but this year, Trey's trying to push back on me. Oh, he looks great, fine to me. I don't know what you're talking about. You don't know what I'm talking about. So today was judgment dead and it was judgment Day. And guess what what, it's blasphemy for anybody in NFL America, social media analysts, whatever you want to call former players. Patrick Mahomes did not rob gnot, did not get snubbed.

He did not deserve to make the Pro Bowl. Is very simple.

Yes, he's come on strong at the end since Thanksgiving, but guess one, he wound up.

Being a day late and a dollar short.

The three quarterbacks they picked all are having way better years than Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen. Please, who are you taking out of that list to put Patrick Mahomes who throw fifteen touchdowns and eleven picks.

To start the season. Wait, why are you talking about the start of the season.

Because that's when a lot of the those other guys have been consistent all year.

True, so all another nine?

That Yeah, fifteen and eleven is almost a one to one ratio.

The only thing I'll make the case for him is what you actually hate, and that is history. Right, That's it's not what this is. No, I'm saying, that's what I'm saying. People will go, well, historically he has you know, he's won two Super Bowls in a row, trying to compete for a third.

He has been an MVP.

He's got he's probably the most known quarterback in all of the land, and he has come on strong.

And this season on.

Paper, for another year, would be a Pro Bow caliber season for other players. But but the the idea of this team is fifteen and one.

Yes, and he's not in the conversation for MVP.

Tells you all you need to know, Like not right, because you always use Josh Allen's record as a reason that he should get the MVP over Lamar. Well, they're gonna use that because what I'm saying last year for Lamar Jackson, Okay, yeah, but the difference was go look at the what the winds he had last year. Here's my other point, all right, that's my my biggest point is it's not a lifetime achievement award. It has nothing to do with oh, he's a ball, he can't play. No, he wasn't one of the three best quarterbacks in the conference.

The big difference is they made plays all throughout the game. Lamar Jackson made plays pretty much ninety percent of the games when he this season, it has been ridiculous what he says he's been able to do. And Josh Allen for the most part as well, and Joe Burrow. The difference is you could argue Patrick Mahomes has made the winning plays when he needed to stop because the falacy that yes, it is.

Watch the game. Yeah, I watched the game. If he needed to get that run, he got that run.

If he needed to make that pass, he made that past fortune.

A block field goal. I watched the more field goal.

I watched the Raiders fumble a snap, right, anybody.

Else can do.

It's unfortunately nothing to do with Patrick Mahome. That absolutely it does. He continuously put them in a position to be there. Here's my only ground. I'm not mad at the three of them making it. They all have amazing seasons, without a doubt. The only thing at this point he ain't looking for the Pro Bowl. He'll be looking for the third super Bowl.

That's right. But that's right.

That's so I'm not talking about you can't talk about the super Bowl.

We're talking about the regular season.

So I'm not that's again, those three are all deserving my my issue, are not my issue. The one thing I will say, the only pushback I have a little bit, and it's not so much the Pro Bowl. It's just kind of this last few week narrative is everybody having all this sorrow for Joe Burrow, and I'm starting to feel little like, hey, hey, hey, hey hey, because this is.

To me bigger than the NVA.

His quarterback rating is in the top four. I don't know, it's not sorrow. He's played really as.

But I'm talking about you got the Micah Parsons and other people saying that's the real MVP that and I'm like, all right, settle down, because all of a sudden, we be changing what we historically have done. And no guy who has the potential to be eight nine if he were to lose this week. And now there's a bunch of people who think Joe Burrow should be the MVP.

No way, he's an MVP, and I agree.

I'm saying that there's a lot of push for him, and I'm like, dude, you got to stop having your team start out bad, Like stop Joe oh man. You know what the Bengals do. They always start off bad, they'll they'll come back strong. It's like, how about you just start off four and oh five and one? You know, can you do that? So to me, then you'd be the MVP, or then you'd be the easy Probram. We wouldn't have any these conversations about who got snubbed not. That's my only thing about Joe Burrow is I'm kind of tired of the whole they start slow, watch him come back and they're gonna do this, and it backfired on him because he could have been and maybe even should have been if you're looking at this stats, the MVP.

But all three absolutely are two games.

We had nine touchdowns again, Okay, and took two l's because guess what, Lamar played even better.

That's it.

So But but Patrick Mahomes at this point, no he I mean I can't even argue.

With him being people always out like Michael Jordan wouldn't make a pro. It's not even all pro. All pro is different. It's like almost a popularity contest. And his numbers this year was so bad that they couldn't even fudge it. They fudged it for him last year. Last year he had a week season as well, and they and he pushed Joe Barrow. I mean argue Josh Allen out. I would argue people questioned him last year being on it, and this year they couldn't even do it.

I would argue less, they couldn't fudge it for him this year, I will argue more just those three are having great years now they can fudge it. It's less about he was this bad or this. He wasn't that he was that bad. He was that bad, they were that great. That's where will disagree. He wasn't that bad.

He wasn't touchdowns and eleven picks to start, and he's so why are you.

Not talking about the last three eleven touchdowns and no interceptions.

Because because that came too late. It came too late. That's why they make the Pro Bowl. You gotta hear season.

That's my point. I'm counting the entire season. But is a pro whole caliber season? If these other three das are a LEAs not a Pro Bowl?

Not with eleven interceptions, how is that a Pro Bowl season?

Would you like me to listen to people who have made the Pro Bowl lately?

No, but I'm just talking about a miss been in a Pro Bowl.

He not even in a top fifteen a quarterback rating?

What?

No Pro Bowl?

No, this absolutely has been a Pro Bowl caliber for in other seasons.

You got three guys who have been absurd.

Lamar Jackson is an alien, which is why I've said the entire season, he's the best player in the NFL. Josh Allen could argue, Hey, Kelvin, I'm the best player in the NFL. So they're to me, it's more about their greatness less about him.

Did Michael Jordan never make a play an All Star Game?

He had to make it even when he was seventy two with the Wizards and twenty pounds all the weight?

Right? Yeah? Like what what that that part of it.

I agree, because you you would think he might have some new close friends with the Swifties because the number one person with the Pro Bowl votes is Kelsey because he's still got Chelsea got in with them a swift he.

Didn't even have a great I thought this.

I thought the Swifties would be like, oh, we gotta also, we gotta also vote in our our friend's friend, Travis Kelsey's homeboy.

All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven.

Almost four yards twenty six touchdown. I mean you acting like I said, come on, bad season, that ain't bad. Come on now, you just said you can't.

I don't, no, white, No, I don't know why you can't just open your mouth say I said he's playing.

It under that team. That's me. I've said that. I said he played poorly last year.

And he not even this team is fifteen and one and he's not even in the MVP conversation and all you said, and if you're telling me what you're telling me, that he makes all the plays at the end to win the games, why wouldn't he.

Be considered MVP if he does that?

Because those points because there's not enough compared to the other guys. Lamar does it all game. He just makes the winning play, shows up at the end, makes the winning play and they win all right?

Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox did Patrick Mahomes deserve to make the AFC Pro Bowl Roster?

Will continue that conversation next with you.

On Fox, Patrick Mahomes doesn't make the Pro Bowls?

Should he have? Or do they do it?

Right?

Who? We got Tim in Indiana. You're in the couple Fox Sports Radio. What's up?

Tim?

How you doing?

Guys?

Happy New Year?

Good good So you I gotta start off with Calvin You's I agree with you one hundred percent on time, But not today, man, not today. Continue no, no, no, even thought of putting him in the Pro Bowl. You he's not even top five. If anybody can say they got snubbed, but she didn't get snubbed. But Jared Goff.

Maybe right, that's a legitimate Yeah, Tim spot on, spot on Donald.

Who's better than Mahomes this year? I'll Sam Donald for Mahomes this year.

That thanks for the call, Tim Drew Jersey, Yeah, appreciate you, my man Drew in New Jersey.

You're in the eye couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up Drew?

Hey, guys, the one thing I will say is Jared Goff and at least Sam Donald made the Pro Ball. Baker Mayfield got snubbed. Do you want to say anybody got up there?

He's up there?

Forty three touchdowns? Yeah, I think Jayden, I think Date Jadan Daniels.

Had a great season.

However, he's going to count total for like thirty one touchdowns total. Baker's probably gonna have like forty five.

And I get it.

It's a great story. Washington's a great story. But the fact that Baker didn't have his number is two best wide receivers for majority of the season. He put up those numbers and it's looking like they're going to make the playoffs.

And the Browns made a mistake with Baker.

I said it when that happened, Drew if I don't know if you remember, I said it on this radio show that they they I don't know what they were thinking. Thanks so much for the call. Appreciate you. Happy New year, Andre in Massachusetts. You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drake?

How you doing? Thanks for taking a call. Listen, this was not Patrick Mahomes' best season by a long shot. What twenty six.

Touchdowns, twelve interceptions.

But I think the proof is in the putting total yards per game two forty five. That's the lowest of his career.

Yeah. True.

You know it's a long wage from the three eighteens, and you know when he was lighting the world on five.

Andre, if you look at some of his numbers, Rob G and I have done this, like every category is the worst, right, like except for completions.

I think he's not last year he was. I mean, he wasn't great. I told you.

Look, I'm not saying he should have been, but I'm also disagreeing with you that this was a bad season.

That's where I think it was.

I think it was a compliment to the other three guys. He just wasn't good. But but you just you just had two people. I mean people call up and say you said the other three guys. There are three other guys ahead of Patrick Mahomes that we an't even talking about. Jared golf is what a team that's lost two games?

Why are you over?

Were on different Confrey. I thought were talking about the AFC. No, but I know we're talking about that. I mean, we're sticking with the AFC. He has not big Listen, I've made it very clear off season.

You've heard me.

I'm one of the few people who have been critical of him. Uh this he missed, He's missed them throws that you normally own. He normally would make that throw historically, and he was allowed to rely on his defense. Sure, I think again, I think it's just more of a compliment. Lamar Jackson is literally out of this world this year, like we thought wow last year.

But but you can but I get that, But I still can look at Patrick Mahomes and to start the.

Season, it would tell you to say that he hasn't been great. He said, he said it all.

I'm trying to say, John and Waco, Texas, you're on the odd couple, Fox Sports Radio.

What's up, John?

Hey, what's going on?

Fellas?

Happy New Year?

Happy New Year to you, hey man. Patrick Mahomes has had a mediocre season for.

The majority of the season.

Man, I mean, you can't let.

Your name, you know, your stardom carry you to a Pro Bowl selection.

I mean you got to put up better numbers than that. That's just my opinion.

Uh, you got Lamar Jackson, you know, had a.

Way better season, Josh Allen had a way better.

Season, and Joe Ball. This guy's name just carry him to to a Pro Bowl selection. I'm sorry.

Yeah, And you know what happens in all sports. A lot happened last year. That's what I'm saying. That happened in sports, Like.

Josh Allen got Thanks John, Thanks appreciate it that he got job last year in the AFC, but not this year.

I think it's more telling, I'll be fair. It's more telling he didn't get it based off of that name. Again, I do think it's because that's how great the erar, because historically that's what starts happening when you become a Peyton Manning, a Tom Brady, all these Michael Jordans, Magic Johnson.

Even if you have a down season, your name Lebron, Right, Lebron's gonna probably never not be a co star.

Even if even if he this season isn't spectacular, He's gonna still be because of his name.

That what I'm saying is normally they do, they get a Lifetime Achievement Award. I'm just happy that that for once, we could just take a look at the season. It wasn't a great season, wasn't a fair Nobody's saying he can't play. Nobody says he can't win the Super Bowl. Nobody says he can't run the table in the play.

That's not what it's about. On why like sit private? Like really the why to it? You know what I mean?

Is it just my god didn't have a star? Kelsey's losing or is something going on with him? Well, he's got a herd of swifties he ain't never not gonna make. But why why wouldn't they vote for Patrick mah because they are stuck on him?

That's what doesn't matter of fact it's only for one doesn't mean you can't vote for the other.

That was enough football for them. Rodney took everything I had to vote football. Now, I'm usually worried about the MTV VMA's or something like that. All right, we got Jonas Gray here in just a bit talking about the game of Watch right out, notre to day smacking up Georgia right now, Martin Weiss.

Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Alex, don't cave into Kelvin. Okay, look with these uh oh know it might.

Be nineteen ninety we still might have been like not ninety one and up. But I'll take it though, Alex. Beggars can't be choosers. Thank you, It's The Odd Couple. Ah you a yes, Rob Parker?

Where else? Respect So wait is that yet? So the first and the second right? Or this is well this is from the first.

So you're three over twenty twenty five exactly, Just stop me in just retire, all right?

Here we go.

For tonight, I got the Boston Celtics minus four and a half. That's my best bet. They were in Minneapolis to take on the Timberwolves.

Let's go. I got sexual plus ten and a half.

They were in Oklahoma City tonight, so ten and a half plus ten and a half, and the Laker not in Anthony Davis, rob g is he not playing? He's not playing? All right, I'm sticking with it. I got the Lakers minus not and a half. They're taking on the bad Portland trail Blazers. They still should be able to win by ten.

They should, they should, but they always for some reason, if every that's one team that's always been weird for them.

Three years, the.

Lakers minus not and a half, Clippers plus ten and a half, and the Celtics minus four.

And a half. Hear you hanging on?

I remember this, man, I'm not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on. And there we go three and o to.

Start the year.

There you go.

You might be six and on with that. I ain't mad at that, although Minnesota's up, but I like that. This's early.

It is all right, Jonahs great? You know who's not up? I mean who there's no chance to come back? That is George As Notre Dame. Just beat them. We're joined now by Jonas Gray, former NFL running back Notre Dame Alument president of Athletes and Management.

Jonah's been Happy New Year, Happy New year, Jonas? What was up?

Happy new year?

Man?

Great?

To talk to you brothers. Man, how you guys doing.

I know you're feeling good your school.

Uh, you know, I mean everybody's been any chance they get to pick that Notre Dame. They havn't won a national championship since Moby Dick was a guppy and this, that and the other thing.

But they got a good team, man, big time win.

Yeah, yeah, it was a huge win, man. And uh, you know my thoughts before the game, I was, uh, you know, I was a little worried about our tackling, you know what I mean, with a bigger, you know, running type set team with the Georgia, you know, I was worrying. I was worried about how we would do up front, you know what I mean, just you know, being physical and matching their speed. And then Riley Leonard, you know, can he make those timely throws? Man? And uh, I think they did really really well, you know what I mean, me and Georgia being a great second half team. I was worried about, you know, Marcus Freeman and his staff, how they would do against Kirby Smart his staff and those adjustments at halftime. So overall, man, I think Notre Dame did really well and showed that they're one of the top teams. Man, that's not the top team to possibly win it all.

You know what, Marcus Freeman, you just mentioned him and we're looking at him right now. He's at the podium accepting the trophy and all that for the Sugar Bowl. What an incredible start to his tenure. What would you say is the thing that you can identify this is well, maybe even a couple things, but you say, this is what I like, This is what he brings. This is why this team may be different than some of these teams in the past.

Yeah, you know what I mean. I think he brings great energy, he brings great authenticity, you know what I mean. And he is a younger guy, so he relates really well to the players, you know what I mean. He's big on you know what I mean. When he's recruiting, he's guy he's building relationships, but he's also still bringing the bag, you know what I mean. So he's one of those guys that you know, a lot of people can relate to. A lot of guys on the team and a lot of people that they you know, they look up to, you know, just in this you know, new intersection of name. It was likeness and you know, being able to relate to these young guys. We couldn't ask for a better leader and a better head coach.

I gotta admit, when you guys lost to Northern Illinois, I thought they gonna run this brother of today, I was like, that was a bad, bad loss and notre Day recovered. I mean when they when this, when your school lost, what was the thought there? Could you believe in Northern Illinois?

You know what I was? I was, you know, of course upset about the win, but I knew that it happened early enough in the season that they would have a lot of opportunities that they ran on the table, they would do really well. They kept it, you know, to focus on the main thing, which is winning week to week, and they did that. And I thought that, you know, most of these teams that you know, go and win a national championship, especially in this era where you can have you know, you can grab so many different talent pools and make your team really good year to year. Just like most teams, they're gonna have their their you know, ups and down thought the season, and it's the teams that are able to you know, reseal through that and you know what I mean, show show that ability to push past the downside of it. Just like an Ohio State team. They're gonna go through those rough passes and it's the teams that can, you know what I mean, block up the noise and put the work in. And that's what they were able to do.

Here's what scares me about Notre Damon. Why I don't think they can win the national championship.

Tonight?

They scored one offensive touchdown and even that was only thirteen yards coming off a turnover. Where's the offense coming from? Is there enough offense? I saw Ohio State go go crazy? Man, right, I mean like that that that doesn't get one touch offensive touchdown?

See, I can't. It's hard for me to talk about the offense reducing without talking about the defensibility to stop the other team's offense. You know what I mean. Ye offense all have to say, got these great offensive players. You know in Penn State our next matchup, they'll bring a lot of you know, nu ice play calling and all this good stuff. But I still believe in our defense to be able to stop them and not you know, of course, thing we didn't score a lot of points. Of course, we didn't give up a lot of points either, but we got our special teams going, we got our field goal kicker making field goals. And if you can just put points on the board and a lot of these opportunities and you don't leave points out there, you don't turn the ball over, and you take what's there and you make sure you're pointing points on the board every time. You put yourself in a really good position because these games are gonna come down to some close opportunities, you know what I mean. And I don't fear any offense right now. I don't think there's any offense where I'm like, man, this team could just go up and score forty points because of the way our defense is playing. So if right winner is able to do what he's doing in terms of controlling the ball, our officive lion controlling it up front, and we're able to run the ball and play that all control offense in this score points when we need to, we're gonna be just fine.

Well, yeah, I'm gonna have a tough time, but hopefully that defense can stand up for you guys as you go up against Penn State, Jonas Gray, our guest, former NFL running back, Notre Dame alum, president of Athletes and Management. Because they ran the ball they being Pence State for over a couple hundred yards. They obviously the defense will solid against a Boise State attack offensively that have been good throughout the season.

So how do you feel about that matchup?

Uh?

And then and then the kind of piggyback to that will be how do you feel overall about this college football playoff system?

Yeah? So I feel really good about the matchup. I feel that, you know, we're we're used to playing a team like Penn State. We you know, we have a lot of you know, familiar kind of strengths, you know what I mean. We have familiar kind of background in history, you know what I mean. When you think about two great programs, you think about Penn State Notre Dame, you know what I mean. So I'm excited for that matchup. I think that, uh, you know, at the end of the day, it's gonna come down to who's able to make the most plays when we need to, And I think we have the most playmakers. We have guys that you know what I mean, are women to make those plays. And then you know far as overall with the college football playoffs this year, with the twelve teams, you know, I think it's hard to get it right. There's no perfect finds to it. But I think they were able to get the best twelve teams this year. I know people felt like there was a few snubs here and there, but all you're able to do as a team is go out and do what you're supposed to, you know what I mean. And all those teams they did what they're supposed to and they were the conference champions or they won a lot of games, and they want big games. So I think it's the way it's supposed to be.

I have a problem with it because the games, most of the games have not been competitive, and I just question, is there really twelve teams out there that should be vying for the national championship. I know people want to open it up and put teams in, but as football fans, do we really want to just watch blowouts in the postseason?

Yeah, I mean a great point. I think it's to be seen, you know what I mean. This is how the first year went, you know what I mean, It just happened, so to be blowouts you know what I mean, And those teams happen to be the teams who have the you know, the home for the advantage, and they're playing at home, and we know how it is in these college football environments and playing at you know, these home stadiums, playing at you know, Notre Dame Stadium, playing at you know, playing in Penn State. You know what I mean, Those are tough, tough environments. So maybe it's some people where it's called neutral fields, but I just go back to just the pageantry of it all, just the excitement of the games and having it at Notre Dame, having it at Penn State. I don't see how as the first round, if you're the college football Playoff committee, you're not open to just seeing the best part of college football, which is playing it at a college football stadium.

Did you do you feel like, I mean, at this point has been the case for so long, but just with the way things are aligning, the Big Ten now being like Big eighteen really and all of those types of things, Notre Dame not being in a coma all, do you do you just get worried about that at all?

Like how this could affect things?

You know, I get worried in terms of you know, I would worry this season in terms of how the conference championship will go. You know what I mean, if there was a few upsets, I was worried that Notre the name may find themselves on the outside looking in. So that isn't worry. But at the end of the day, I think it gives Notre Dame the ability to play teams wherever, you know what I mean, and play multiple great opponents, you know what I mean, being able to play USC this year, and then you know, even though Florida State had a down year, being able to play at Florida State, you know what I mean, us being able to play you know, very good you know, thorough breaks teams and programs. It's only going to help us at the end of the day. And you know what I mean, at the end of the day, all you can do is just beat the opponent that's right in front of you, you know. And I know there is some you know, leaning towards a big TAN in the SEC and all of that, but I think it's just about we're the best players, that we're the best competition. And I think you know, over the years, the College Football Committee will start to learn different things that will come to play and making these decisions. But I think it's not a perfect science. And I like what they did this first year.

Let's talk about quinn yours. Uh the trans Uh.

There was a story we talked about the Texas quarterback uh and the transfer portal as rumors that they're willing to give him like six million dollars if he transfers to Notre Dame next year.

Here. What do you think about that?

Uh?

If Quinn got the got the bag of six million dollars to come to Notre Dame, man.

I I quite honestly, I'm not big on throwing a lot of money at the quarterback and less unless it's a short fire thing, you know what I mean, And there's not many of those.

You know, I'm gonna say, what a short fire? I wish you would tell me because I leave the show right now.

If you could give me.

One, I would. Dylan grave Bruel, you know what I mean, he was a short fire thing. He produced really went Oklahoma, you know what I mean. You're able to see him on a big stage, You're able to see him in a really good offense. And what he was able to do, and then it makes sense that you would maybe pay him a little bit more to go to Oregon. You know what I mean that those makes sense. Guys that are in the Heisman finalists a year before, you know, guys that played really well. I just think Quinn was getting pushed so much from his backup that it's more of guys are like, hey man, you need to get out of here so Arts can do his thing, versus Quinn such a great player that we need to throw on his money get him, you know what I mean. I really like what No Name has and what they've been able to do in the transfer port of the last couple of years. But I really like the fact that they've just built a really good quarterback room and you've got to have that to be competitive in college football. So they've recruited well in high school. They've gotten a few transfer over the last two three years. But I think even Marcus Slimman has said it, he's looking to just build more on that, you know, the guys that are already there. So I don't think we need to put a lot of money towards a player. But the one thing I will say about Notre Dame is they're willing to pay a transferor player, but they're also winning too. They're women to a guy. You know, maybe there's a quarterback position. But if they pay a guy, whether it be a d N or something like that, if he's not producing, well they'll they'll sit you, you know what I mean. These other teams, there are a lot of times they're forced to play. So I feel a little bit about neurname collective.

All Right, he is Jonas gray Man. We appreciate you taking time our brother. Happy New Year. I've enjoyed twenty twenty five. We'll talk soon.

Thank you, guys.

Yep, congrats on the win from Yeah, it's.

We were talking about it a little bit with Jonas there just how Notre Dame has historically, I was telling Rob g earlier, kind of just become like you know, cowboy esque New York nick Esk where we're always talking about him. And they've had some success, They've had some winning seasons and gotten close to some things, but just where they don't have the the banners, if you will, the championships enough.

There are a lot of there, lot of franchises. I just like it's hard to win.

It is, it is, but I'm talking about those few that get all the love. No, and it doesn't warrant the thing. Yeah, but they But what what you don't understand, I think is that they have the fan base. No, No, that's what Okay, because Notre Dame has its own TV deal with NBC.

Nobody had and had it for for thirty years. Yeah, And that's what I'm saying, is like, that's why they get I get it.

I'm just nobody. The other schools would love to have a TV deal by Yeah, they're big ten network, I'm saying.

And that's what I'm saying.

But all of that and then how much they're just loved, You would think they'd won a lot more if I told you the last you know, twenty five thirty years, Uh, based off of all the pub and the love that they get.

But you never know, they're the only one. Twice in the last thirty five years how many times? Okay, twice as saying, that's two in the last four or five years. Fox Sports Radio
