Okay, but uh, it's it's been incredible, uh really long winning streaks.
Playing high level basketball right now. But here's the problem.
And you notice not the markets the NBA wants and you could do all you want.
Can I can I tell you this? What's that? You could have all the great players. Oh they got a great coach.
Go look at the San Antonio Spurs and Rob g go look up the five worst rated NBA finals and guess what the Spurs are involved in, like every single one of them.
All Right, I gotta push back, No, I'm just it's I don't think it was the Spurs as much as the Spurs style of play, No, because they're at that point.
The first size, the first three to four of them was just pounding and ground.
And it's the market size because OKC and Cleveland's a big city, a bigger city, bigger, but it's but it's Midwest.
It's not the glamour cities, not Lebron.
When Lebron was there's different and that the knock to Donovan Mitchell was playing great and they got a nice team. But the NBA is still force feeding you Lebron and the Lakers even though they got blue out last night, they got blowed out on the road that right, with no Kyrie and no Lug. The bench just demolished them. Okay, they're still force feeding you, Stephan. The Warriors, they're losing like every night, you know, and I get it. The NBA ate off of them for a long time. And those are the ones that moved the needle those teams. But now you have a situation where you have a changing of the guard and the best leagues recognize that and say, dude, it's cool Lebron Steph Curry, but that's not our future. It's just not. And we got to start to tilt and make sure these guys are on the Marquee Games, the National Games, and we got to keep pumping it out. We gotta let people know who these guys are are because.
They're a future.
I don't disagree, but I think the NBA has historically done a great job of pumping up the next stars, and I think they're doing a good job now. Ants on a bunch of commercial job Morant before he went, John Wick was in a bunch. You got a Zion and a bunch of them as well. The issue is the issue is you have to now do your part. I've given you the Chris Paul Live City, Ali, can you come DeAndre Jordan Blake Griffin is thing and win.
So what the Cavs need to do is no, but they're winning now.
No, no, no, get to the playoffs. Listen. I wish I was the thing because Smith, they just can't get to the next round. What I'm saying is, you gotta have epic exactly, you gotta get to the This is what has to happen. They got to get to the Eastern Conference Finals to have a six to seven games battle with the Knicks. Whether they win or lose, we all go ooh rival either battling what Boston or Boston as well or Boston, Yeah, Boston, that's absolutely they gotta get to they Okay, see, you gotta get to the finals because they've been good now for a couple of years. And even if they lose, they have to get there. So because I want to steal this, but I'm gonna give him his credit, dang get win? Am I trying to be honest?

Kenny Smith said it great. The regular season is where you make your name. The postseason is where you make your fame. And right now, Donovan Mitchell has been really good. But if he gets to the Eastern Conference Finals and whether he wins it or gets to the finals, now we start to see you. We's got some rivalries, we got some beefs. You had huge epic games. That starts the thing where we're like, oh, you you want on a Tuesday night, in the middle of the season where we're not even paying attention to clean.
But I got But that's the issue to me.
You're trying to say that you want you want the regular season to matter. Here's a matchup. No, I think I'm just a go ahead and you can't have the playoffs some months away. So I'm talking about from the NBA Standboy, you can't talk about what what are you gonna do for me in April and May?
Well it's January, so we need to build.
And I say weave, You're the NBA, build up what you got, go and get people involved instead of just doing the easy thing, which is schedule the Lakers and schedule the Warriors, ding schedule the Suns.
That like, like, that's what I'm talking about.
Where these young guys you're I get what you're saying is and they've done it. But this is where the young guys have to get. They have to start winning. I said it this way. Michael Jordan was cute. I was cute flying through the air. It was better than cute. But what I'm saying is it was Magic's bird Zeke, Doctor Jay's leak through the eighties.
Yeah, but they had but before they got there, and I get it.
Magic did his first year. We knew it was a big deal with Magic and Bird when they came into the league. That's all all I'm saying is when you see these two teams we're talking about, this is this is not like they're playing well historically right, And all I'm saying is, you gotta be able to maneuver and make some shifts and say, you know what, I know we had the Warriors and Sons game, but guess what, that's not the best game in the NBA.
I think it's it's it's it's this game. I don't know what else they can do. They've given, you know, they've gotten the interviews, they've gotten the social media.
And all that they got.
Waal Calves and the Thunder going to a great finals. Guess what's gonna happen? Because they were the Splash Brothers are that cool, fun to watch. We like them, but they turn into must see because they gotten to the finals.
But but you gotta do one before you get to the other.
I'm saying, the other stars, the other stars holding up the lebron here, y'all go, now get here?
Did you take it from us? You that Denver won the championship. Nobody talked about the Nuggets all year.
Nobody's gonna talk about me. But this is what I'm trying to tell you. And they got one of the best.
Player on the modern day, a little bit more fun to watch than Tim Duncan.
But sometimes it also stole the play round. You know that, Yeah, but you cannot look.
All I'm saying to you is you can't ignore the really good teams become they're from smaller markets, or their players are young. You have to embrace some of these guys because they're the next steph is on his last leg, Lebron is on his last The Warriors can't win two games in a row.
They're so bad.
We're talking about we don't have confidence, our identity in the world. It's unbelievable.

It's not just the Raiders, but the Raiders and Tom Brady definitely were interested in him, but they said multiple teams. There are other teams who would be interested in Bill Belichick. I was shocked, you know that, when he took a college job, and I was like, this is about nepotism over history because he's setting his son up. And the reason that he's not gonna go and leave North Carolina and I would there's a chance to go back to the NFL to be the all time winning his coach. Right, breakdown Schuler's record is because he's got his family and friends all hooked up. They're all there, they got jobs. He can't bow out. Can't because everybody would be left in the lurch, people who left jobs and situations. And so this is not just about Bill Belichick anymore. And that's why he can't do it. He must be kicking hisself a little bit to say I should have waited. There was no rush to take the North Carolina college football season isn't even over yet.
Can I offer you something though, I think there's two things I would like to say. What I think there is an element of pride when you've been this great. You're arguably the greatest of all time. Bunch of Super Bowl appearances, and he's been that powerful. I think he I think there's an element of him saying, how dare I have to wait?

But I'm saying, but I'm but again, remember I said, I'm Bill Belichick.

How that hatch your boy? And nobody called? And I think there's a part, you know, a part of pride that's like, well, bop, y'all. In second thing I would offer you is maybe he.

No, that's a huge thing once you get tied into it. That's one thousand percent correct. I'm going a little bit before that. Once he once he committed you got too many people involved, too many people. We got Lombardi people joining in GMS and no, no, no, he's he's godfather. At this point, I got all these people up under me. Last what I was gonna make is, let me offer this. Do you think there's a part of him that doesn't want to be subservient to Tom Brady, that I don't want him to be the one like godfathering me. I put you in this position. I put you here, coach. But you get me, like, with a chance to coach for say, hey, we'll give you three year contract, you'll get the record, you know what I mean? He could get the record in three years. Remember as bad as the Raiders were this year. Last year they won like seven games.
And Antonio Pearce was the guy looking great as the internew coach. But I do think that plays a role. Rob Everybone's oh don shul at fifteen more games. He might be thinking that might take me three years, could be you know, probably three years max, but you know, like the years is not But I think for him it's like three years. I gotta go there. I don't have a quarterback as of right now. You know, obviously the draft we can see what's what and all of that, and Tom Brady maybe have something up his sleeves. But I do think there's an element of him now who wants who likes the fact that I have the total control of what I do at you and C. Okay, and and guys, don't get you see guys getting fired after one or two. Guys don't get to stick around that long for somebody to come along and do the same thing and and have a chance to eclipse my record. I have a chance of putting my name in the record books forever, and it's once in a lifetime opportunity. And I made a mistake. I was premature and taking this job. And I know you guys all you know wanted to do. We're gonna do this thing. But if I'm him, I back out of the deal.
The only thing I'll say to that is and I said it then when we were talking about this, I think people don't care about the actual record as much as you do.

I picked them out with Rob g like that, Oh, I'm gonna name the five most common. You tell me which one's got to go that? Hey, Mansian updates say I'm gonna do this this year. I don't want hear about We've heard that, okay, so here we go from here are the five. Number one, I'm gonna exercise more, okay. Number two, I'm gonna eat healthier. Number three, I'm gonna save money good luck. Number four. I'm gonna reduce my stress levels and worry about me good luck level number five. Number five, I'm gonna spend more time with my friends and family.
Really dumb.

You know it's sad though, laughiness. All five of those tell us how bad we are here that those are like things you need to do better.
