Alabama Basketball ESCAPES Robert Morris, beating the Colonials 90-81 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Alabama’s Grant Nelson sat the entire first half, but played some in the second half, giving his team what it needed to pull off the Round of 64 win.

Cliff Omoruyi and Mo Dioubate carried the Crimson Tide in the first half, wrapping up the first 20 minutes of play as the only Alabama players in double-figures. Mark Sears stepped up in the second half, ending the game with 22 points.

Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide advance and will play the winner of the Saint Mary’s - Vanderbilt game on Saturday.
