The Global Watch: Sudan’s paramilitary leader General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo has announced that he intends to attend next month’s ceasefire talks that have been arranged by the United States and Saudi Arabia. The talks will take place in Switzerland and are aimed at reaching a nationwide cessation of violence that has been going for 15 months. But will the other side led by General Abdel-Fattah Burhan attend and what will it take to resolve the impasse in Sudan?
