The Innovation Hub: In conversation with Professor Blade Nzimande: How will science, technology and innovation contribute to the development of this country under his leadership and how will he shape innovation activities going forward? The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Blade Nzimande joins us to outline his vision for his department. This as you may be probably aware that the higher education and science portfolios were recently separated which means that his primary focus is now on science, technology and innovation. One of the most important programmes that the department is currently spearheading is their Decadal Plan that focuses on modernising sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing, tackle climate change and it doesn’t end there as it also intends to address the issues of innovation and skills compact, and digital economy integration among other things.
