SABC Board Member, Phathiswa Magopeni has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Press Council of South Africa. Magopeni, who was already a member of the Council, hopes to strengthen the institution’s role in defending media freedom and also in ensuring that our press continues to play a meaningful role in upholding democracy.
