Today we chat to former Public Service Minister, Dr Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi who has done a lot as an activist pre and post democracy. Currently, she serves on boards across academia, think-tanks and the private sector. Some of you may recall that Dr Fraser-Moleketi was also a member of the Constituent Assembly that crafted and adopted the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa in 1996. Jair February (11) and his buddies, Ryan Fortuin and Abigail Schubert (both 12), make up Team Checkmate from Cape Town’s Booster Kids Robotics School. The trio built a chessboard for the blind. Thanks to their innovation, the trio were selected to represent South Africa at the 2024 Asia Pacific Open Championship, which took place in Australia in July.
