Earlier on today - the Independent Electoral Commission revealed that the declared value of donations to political parties has surpassed the R100 million-rand mark for the first time since the Party Funding Act was introduced. Democratic Alliance (DA) declared the highest of all donations for the fourth quarter while Change Starts Now (CSN), one of the unrepresented political parties that was registered with the Electoral Commission in February 2024, declared total donations valued at R35 820 000. For more analysis on this, let’s speak to…..

Israel’s ICJ response to SA’s legal application:Earlier on Israel’s Tamar Kaplan Tourgeman, principal deputy legal adviser of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs argued that it is Hamas that has brought about all the suffering and pain that the world is witnessing in Gaza. The Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) has partnered with the IEC to implement an Elections training programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of the community media sector as they prepare to cover the 2024 elections. Starting today, the MDDA and the IEC are set to conduct elections readiness workshops focusing on IEC legislative amendments and the new features of the 2024 national and provincial elections.
